 SVP: Online Petition School Book Changes

SVP is running an online petition campaign calling for an end to frequent school book changes.

Publishers change books frequently which means that parents cannot recycle books, they have to buy new ones even though there have been very few changes to the school curricula, which causes unnecessary financial hardship.

SVP wants the Minister for Education to make book rental schemes compulsory in schools as this is a very effective way to ensure that books can be re-usesd and that teachers can be confident that pupils can access the book they set.
